Puppy Etiquette Course

$3,605 + GST

Give your puppy the foundation they need to grow into a confident and well-mannered companion. Our 12-session private, in-home Puppy Etiquette Course is designed to help your pup develop essential skills for real-world success. This course focuses on obedience, socialization, and off-leash confidence, ensuring your puppy understands boundaries, respects personal space, and responds to commands in any environment.

4 Socialization Sessions with Jax’s Balanced Pack

  • Your puppy will learn proper dog-to-dog interactions, respectful play, and how to read canine body language.

  • Exposure to a variety of dog personalities helps your pup develop confidence and social skills in a safe, controlled setting.

4 Leash Walking Sessions

  • Teach your puppy how to walk calmly and attentively on a leash, eliminating pulling and erratic behaviour.

  • Learn WildFree’s famous Shadow Technique, ensuring your dog learns to follow your lead both on and off-leash.

4 Recall Sessions

  • Develop strong off-leash obedience with reliable recall training, so your dog learns to come when called — no matter the distractions.

  • Build trust and engagement, allowing for safe, enjoyable off-leash adventures.

Puppy Socialization Sessions

$50/session + GST at the WildFree Farm

Proper socialization is key to raising a well-adjusted, confident dog. Our Puppy Socialization Sessions provide a safe, controlled environment where your pup can learn valuable social skills from Jax’s balanced pack of dogs.

During these sessions, your puppy will interact with dogs of various temperaments, helping them develop appropriate play behaviors, respectful boundaries, and the ability to read canine body language. Exposure to different personalities and play styles builds confidence, ensuring your pup feels secure in social settings both on and off-leash. With expert guidance, they will learn positive social habits, preventing future behavioural issues and setting them up for success as they grow.

  • We first heard about Jax through a family friend, who brought both her dogs to Jax for training. With our first child coming, my anxiety level over our dogs behaviour was through the roof.   • I was at my wits end with my two big rescues from the reserve. The big girl (110lbs) was getting more reactive, pulling me over when she lunged at other dogs. The other one (90 lbs) just followed her lead. Jax was my last resort, recommended to me as 'Alberta's Cesar Milan'. And she didn't disappoint. One month with her and my reactive, barking, out-of-control dogs became my pack, following my lead, doing what I wanted when I wanted it. No more hiding until dark to walk when no other dogs were out. No more avoiding having guests over. No more feeling ashamed and like a failure.   • I have worked with and trained dogs all of my life. Three years ago I felt ready to move into breeding top Australian Shepherds (Big Rock Australian Shepherds in Okotoks, AB) for conformation, agility and obedience. I currently have a pack of 6 (a top in Canada male Aussie stud, and two females; one imported from Europe and the other a female puppy from a recent litter of 11 from my breeding pair. I also have 2 Golden retriever pets, and a sheltie. My male Aussie in 2022 was the top puppy in Canada and in the top 10 of all Australian Shepherds. Something changed in my pack when I chose to keep the puppy Aussie. My Golden retriever female became aggressive towards the puppy and possessive of me and everything else, bones, food, balls, etc. I tried everything in my tool box and then call Jax. I have learned a whole new world of communication with my dogs; not just my retriever but my whole pack. Sometimes you just need a bigger tool box!. I am still learning and cannot wait to see how this learning and training is going to help better balance my pack, my relationship with them, and help my dogs reach their potential (without me losing my sanity) in and out of the ring.
